Paul’s journey back to the classroom is one of both pain and strength. He shared his excitement after the exam: He dropped out of school in Primary 6 after losing his father, who was killed by LRA rebels. Taken in by his uncle while in a camp, tragedy struck again when his uncle died just six months later. With no other support, Paul was forced to leave school and care for his mother. Yet, even decades later, Paul never gave up on his desire to learn. he said, “I am so excited to be learning among women, and I’m grateful that Nufobo gave me the chance to learn once again" Despite the challenges he’s faced, Paul has never let go of his ambition. “I want to be a leader, and my community also encourages me to stand as their local council representative,” he said. “But my biggest challenge is that I cannot read well. That’s why I joined this program—to learn how to write meeting minutes, keep good records, and support my people properly when they elect me.” Your support makes stories like Paul’s possible.
