Before joining NUFOBO, my life felt like it was spiraling out of control. I was heavily addicted to alcohol and often found myself in fights, feeling lost and without purpose. My future seemed bleak, and I struggled to see any hope or direction. However, everything changed when I became a part of NUFOBO. Through their support and programs, I discovered a new path and found the strength to overcome my challenges. NUFOBO's focus on functional adult literacy, life skills training, and mental health support has been a beacon of hope for me and many others in our community. One of the most inspiring stories from our journey is that of Kennedy Ocaye. Kennedy, who once struggled with similar challenges, has now become a role model in Patiko. Through NUFOBO's functional adult literacy program, he enrolled in a vocational school to learn building skills. His dedication and transformation have made him an inspiration to many, proving that it's never too late to learn and grow. Ocaya says, "Today, I am proud to say that my life has completely changed. I have found a renewed sense of purpose and am dedicated to helping other youth in our community. I often share my story with them, encouraging them to avoid the pitfalls of drinking and instead focus on building a better future."
